Teaching has always been one of the most rewarding parts of my piping career. From the beginning, I’ve enjoyed helping other players improve — sharing ideas, solving challenges, and passing on what I’ve learned from years of performing and competing at every level.

I currently offer private lessons for students of all ages and experience levels. Whether you’re picking up a chanter for the first time or preparing for solo competition, we’ll build your playing step by step — focused on strong fundamentals, musical expression, and steady progress.

Modern technology makes distance learning easier than ever. I teach students locally in the Chicago area and online through FaceTime, Skype, or Google Meet — the same way I continue my own studies with my mentor in Scotland.

Lessons are available weekly or bi-weekly, depending on your schedule, practice time, and personal goals. Every student’s journey is a little different, and we’ll tailor lessons to fit your pace and motivation.
